Some AHEC 2005 Facts

 
  • 84 students enrolled from 1 7 public high schools, 1 0 private schools, 4 area universities and community colleges
  • 2 undergraduate students pre admitted to the UMKC School of Dentistry
  • 2 high school graduates accepted into the UMKC 6 year medical school program
  • 1 high school graduate accepted as a freshman into the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Saint Louis University
  • 69 physicians, 1 9 nurses and 86 allied health professionals and administrators trained at ECMO AHEC sponsored CME programs
  • 27 medical students, 15 dental students and 4 dental hygiene students completed a combined total of 87 weeks of clinical training in the ECMO region
  • 38 guidance counselors and math and science teachers had the opportunity to Explore, Experience and be Exposed to health careers at the ECMO AHEC sponsored Health Careers 1 0 1 workshop
